About Instrumental Musician

Instrumental Musician began in 2008 as a print and on-line music journal.  The quarterly publication explored artists and music from all genres with reviews, interviews, and commentary.  An eclectic "how-to" section was also included in each issue.

The development of the instructional portion of Instrumental Musician coincided with the release of the method book, "Notation and Performance Techniques for the Contemporary Guitarist."  This led the staff at IM to focusing on developing instructional materials and method books.  Our offerings now include four method books for the guitar as well as a growing array of support materials for all instrumentalists.

Future publications will provide a wide variety of instrumentalists with instructional as well as entertaining materials as we meet more authors and encounter more new ideas.

Our mission is to offer the highest achievable quality of materials and content to help musicians develop proficiency on their instrument and discover their artistic potential.
